VS Ambivalenz 2nd Season Interview - The Last One

It is a pleasure to be here today. I would like to start out with a self-introduction from each of you.

Shimba: I’m one of the candidates representing Scarlet, Shimba!

Riam: I’m Riam. I’m competing in this audition for Orange with Ainosuke, who’s sitting here next to me.

Ainosuke: Hello, I’m Ainosuke~ Riam, don’t you feel like beatboxing today? You always do that when you introduce yourself.

Riam: There’s no point if I do that durin’ an interview.

Ainosuke: Ehh… But you wanna hear it, don’t you?

I would love to.

Ainosuke: See? Come on!

Riam: (Riam beatboxes)

Ainosuke: I wonder if they’ll write, like, “Riam beatboxes” for this. Hilarious.

Riam: Don’t laugh! Let’s move on! Kyouya, go!

Kyouya: I’m one of the candidates representing Black, Kyouya. The person sleeping next to me is my rival, Monet-san. I’m sorry, I tried my best to wake him up before the interview, but… He’s been asleep since Shimba-san’s introduction.

Riam: So since the beginning.

Shimba: Hahaha! He’s got some real guts to be asleep right now!

Monet: Merci.

Kyouya: He woke up!

Now, I will proceed to ask you a few questions. Please tell me how you felt while recording “The Last One.”

Shimba: The concept for “The Last One” is rock! And I’m rock too! So, there was nothing for me to worry about.

Ainosuke: Could you explain a little more, Shimba?

Shimba: Yeah! This song uses powerful lyrics to express our determination to win and make our debut. So, I felt like we could express our true feelings.

Kyouya: Shimba-san really suits this song, and he helped lead us through it.

Ainosuke: You did too, y’know. You were amazingly expressive, and you were basically done recording immediately, right?

Kyouya: Ah, yeah… I was also… really happy to be able to sing this song, and I had a lot of fun.

Riam: The way you sang “Nobody Knows” was real impressive. Makes sense coming from the guy who placed the highest in the re-evaluation.

Kyouya: T-Thanks…

Riam: You awake, Monet?

Monet: Barely…

Shimba: You should say how you felt while you’re still awake!

Monet: Mm… Riam seemed like he was struggling a bit with the more difficult part from “Even on this road of hardship” to “That is Bivalen.”

Riam: Urgh…

Monet: Out of these members, Ainosuke struggled the most with the tastes of rock in this song.

Ainosuke: Ngh!

Kyouya: And here I was thinking he’s awake for once, but he just started hitting where it hurts…

Ainosuke: Monet! You don’t say that kind of thing during an interview!

Riam: There’s still a bunch that we don’t have a lotta experience in. Of course we’re gonna struggle with some stuff!

Monet: But, that was only in the beginning.

Ainosuke / Riam: Eh?

Monet: Given his rap skills, Riam finished up with something really high quality, and Ainosuke sounded better with every single take he did. I thought the two of you were amazing.

Riam: Oh… 

Ainosuke: Ouh…

Shimba: Glad you guys got your kudos!

Ainosuke: What is this supposed to be, a carrot on a stick? Monet, you were directed to sing like a little devil and did just that, no sweat… No surprises there.

Kyouya: It’s amazing that you were awake just to record and fell asleep immediately after.

Finally, if you could please give a message to GLANZ.

Ainosuke: I’m super happy I got to show off a cool, rock side of me to GLANZ. Get drunk on my duality, got it? ♡

Riam: I'm thankful we got a song that included strong rap parts in it. I feel like I was able to take advantage of the opportunity I was given. Listen to it a bunch for us.

Kyouya: The music video is cool too. Please watch us move forward from a place of nothingness.

Monet: Thank you for listening. Keep cheering us on, okay? If I get to talk to GLANZ, I’ll be awake.

Shimba: I got curious and listened to the other group’s song, “Hello Future!!!”. The lyrics “No GLANZ, No life” and the melody in the second half of the chorus are the same as ours. I was surprised at how much the different instrumentals change the impression of the songs.

Ainosuke: Eh? Seriously?

Riam: Lemme see the lyrics… Damn, you're right.

Kyouya: … I just realized.

Monet: Zzz, zzz…

Shimba: Mikera and I noticed it. We were the only ones who were split up after all. I wonder if GLANZ noticed it too. If that doesn’t ring a bell, that's your sign to turn the music on!
